The RO Plant for process water had been installed in the factory during 2017 just opposite of Fermentation Plant and adjacent to the cooling tower facility, in a concrete covered area room having all the required connections of water inlet and out let. The feed water is supplied to this RO Plant from overhead water tank constructed on the 3rd floor of the plant building. The basic source of water is 0.5 cusec capacity turbine which takes out underground water and pumps the same into the overhead concrete tank for use in the process.

WORKING OF RO PLANT (PROCESS WATER)

The scope of work assigned to Water Care Services Pakistan included the designing, layout fabrication, installation & commissioning of 8 m3 /hr pre-treatment system and 5 m3 /hr RO plant.
It is also includes to provide 5 m3 per hour RO unit, which is PLC controlled & HMI operated. The system takes water at 12~20 Psi from raw water storage tank or direct line provided, and treats it. The feed water pump pushes water into multimedia filter, which is auto operated. MMF removes debris, turbidity and insoluble. As differential pressure reaches to 5 Psi. It automatically goes to backwash. Water from MMF passes into five micron bag filter and 1 micron cartridge filters. RO booster pump,pumps water to 150 psi and passes from RO membranes. System is PLC controlled and possess the required safety features. The company has executed a maintenance agreement with Water Care Services Pakistan for the regular maintenance of the RO Plant. The maintenance department is responsible to call them for maintenance purpose, whenever they feel the requirement of cleaning filters and change of consumable parts.
